Luton Town – Supporters Views As We Slip Further Towards The Abyss

Starting the New Year in the same manner as the old year ended, losing, was not what the Hatters support wanted.

Our woeful form on the road, NINE consecutive defeats in the EFL Championship, has seen the Hatters rely on their home form to keep them out of the clutches of the relegation places.

Indeed, Norwich City, a club who also have a record of woeful away form, were considered to be there for the taking, but Luton Town were not up to the challenge.

They huffed and they puffed but, as has been the case this season, were not up to the challenge.

When the final whistle sounded, condemning us to a 1-0 defeat, a crescendo of boos rang around the quaint old ground, with the supporters not afraid to air their feelings.

Naturally, social media, last night, was alive with posts from disgruntled fans, all aghast at what is happening to their club, with the following being typical of what I discovered:

Leadership, what wouldn’t we give for the quick return of Tom Lockyer.

Tom is exactly what we are missing, a decent centre-back who leads from the back and who can get the best out of those beside and in front of him.

But finding a completely positive post continued to prove hard, perhaps the below comes the nearest, so far:
