Bid made to seal Yunus Akgun deal
Everton have made a bid to sign Galatasaray winger Yunus Akgun in the January transfer window, according to Fanatik.
The news outlet reported on 6 January at 10:40 am that the Toffees made a loan offer with the obligation to buy the 24-year-old at the end of the season with the club on January reinforcements.
Real Sociedad are also keen on signing the Turkey attacker and Technical Director Okan Buruk along with the club hierarchy are set to evaluate the offers.
Yunus Akgun can be a game changer for Everton
At only 24, he brings a blend of youth and experience, having already made an impact in both the Turkish Super Lig and during his loan spell at Leicester in the Championship.
With 11 goals and six assists in 24 games in all competitions this season, he’s showcased his ability to both score and create goals.
His versatility allows him to play across the front line, which could add much-needed dynamism and creativity to the Toffees’ attack.
While he did not have the best of times in terms of numbers at Leicester, he’s a much-improved player this season and could be a better option than Jack Harrison or Jesper Lindstrom.
Moreover, his familiarity with English football from his time at the King Power could facilitate a smoother integration into the squad, making him an immediate asset as the Toffees aim to avoid relegation.
