Leeds United fans to breathe a sigh of relief after Jack Harrison news.

Leeds United are heading in the right direction as Daniel Farke looks to take his side back up to the Premier League this season.

The German has his side sitting at the top of the Championship table at the halfway point in the campaign, a point clear of Burnley and Sheffield United.

However, with plenty of football yet to be played, the boss won’t want to get ahead of himself with the race at the top of the table set to be a close one.

Farke has expressed a desire to keep transfer business to a minimum this January although there will need to be additions to enable his side to keep up their momentum throughout the campaign.

Graham Smyth reported on the Yorkshire Evening Post’s website (7 January) that Jack Harrison is set to stay at Everton until the end of the season with all parties needing to agree to terminate the loan, which will leave Leeds fans breathing a sigh of relief he won’t be returning in January.

Jack Harrison loan turned out well for Leeds United
Leeds have flourished without the services of Harrison over the past two seasons although Farke will be hoping to make sure his side definitely have the squad depth necessary to see out the season on a high.

With that in mind, the 28-year-old staying at Goodison means that the West Yorkshire outfit keep one of their highest earners off the wage books.

Furthermore, the winger is in poor form this term and has failed to score a goal or register an assist in 17 Premier League appearances while the Whites will be looking for reinforcement who can make an immediate reaction during this window.

With the push for promotion set to be a tight affair, those at Elland Road will be keen not to get too far ahead of themselves, knowing that they will have to go until the very end of the campaign in order to gain the automatic promotion they set out for this season.

However, that means the team have to be committed to the project too and Harrison has already shown he is not that player following his exit to Merseyside.

Therefore, Leeds will surely be counting themselves as the luckier of the two clubs right now while they look to continue under Farke in the same strong form they have displayed so far and get themselves back to the top flight.

In other Leeds news this out-of-contract United star is preparing for a return to one of his former clubs in the summer.
