Championship club working on £1.2m deal for Sheffield United man
Norwich City are in the process of activating the option to buy Sheffield United loanee Anis Ben Slimane, according to the Pink Un.
Sheffield United sanctioned a temporary exit for midfielder Anis Ben Slimane in the summer following their relegation from the Premier League.
The Tunisian international struggled to make an impact in his maiden season at Bramall Lane but Norwich City saw an opportunity to bring him in for the campaign. And, since then, the 23-year-old has caught the eye at Carrow Road.
Slimane’s strong performances have seen him earn a regular starting berth, chipping in with three goals in his 22 outings. As a result, there have been eyes on the possibility of a more long-term stay with the Norfolk outfit too.
Now, fresh claims on a permanent Norwich City stay have emerged from the Pink Un.
They state the Canaries are in the process of activating the option to buy Slimane from Sheffield United. The clause was agreed upon in the original loan agreement and is believed to come in at £1.2m.
Additionally, citing reports in Denmark, it is said talks are ongoing over a deal to keep him contracted to his prospective new permanent club until 2028.
