Beto transfer twist as new club plot late move in £20.9m Everton news
Everton ace Beto is under consideration at Como to replace Andrea Belotti, according to Calciomercato.com.
The Italian outlet reported via their website on 1 February that Cesc Fabgregas’ side are mulling over signing a striker amid Benfica’s interest in Belotti.
Beto, who is also “liked” by Roma and Torino, is among those on their shortlist, although the Toffees being adamant that they will only sanction a permanent transfer and wanting a £20.9million fee could hinder any deal.
Beto to leave Everton in 48 hours?
Beto continues to be linked with a move away from Goodison Park with under three days left in the winter transfer window.
Roma, Torino and now Como have been credited with an interest in signing the Guinea-Bissau international before the window slams shut on Monday night.
However, the Merseyside-based club may be shooting themselves in the foot by demanding a £20.9m transfer fee for the 27-year-old.
They may also have to ease their stance regarding the type of transfer if they want to offload him this window.
That is not to say Everton are desperate to sell Beto. They are short of options in the number nine position, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja injured.
