Dodgers Could Make Another Big Move in Addition to Re-Signing Clayton Kershaw Says GM.
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ front office work is unmatched this offseason. The Dodgers have signed just about every big name they want, and have a roster that is better than the one that took home the World Series trophy just a few months ago.
However, Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes told MLB insiders Jon Heyman and Joel Sherman of the New York Post that the Dodgers are still open to making more additions this offseason.
“Never say never,” Gomes said. “We’ll continue to be opportunistic and looking at places on how to round out the roster.”

Although Los Angeles still welcomes new talent, the organization is content with the work they have done this offseason.
“We feel very happy with what we’ve done to this point,” Gomes said. “If spring training started tomorrow, we feel like we’d be in a very good place.”
The Dodgers added two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell and Japanese-born pitching phenom Roki Saski to their rotation. Los Angeles also signed relievers Tanner Scott and Kirby Yates to bolster an already dominant bullpen.

Additionally, utility Hyeseong Kim and outfielder Michael Conforto signed contracts with Los Angeles this offseason.
Three players from the World Series team opted to stay in Los Angeles for the foreseeable future. Outfielder Teoscar Hernández and reliever Blake Treinen re-signed as free agents with Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the Dodgers extended the contract of outfielder Tommy Edman.
One free agent Los Angeles has yet to agree to a deal with is 17-year Dodgers veteran Clayton Kershaw. The southpaw starter has played with the franchise since 2008 and has expressed a
Desire to remain with the team for the rest of career.

“We’ve obviously stayed in touch with Kersh (Kershaw),” Gomes said. “I think our sentiments are out there, and we know Kersh also wants to be a Dodger for life, so we’ll continue to be in contact with him.”
