Player flying to England today ahead of joining Everton – Medical on Sunday, transfer details laid out
Flamengo midfielder Charly Alcaraz is set to fly to England today to undergo a medical with Everton ahead of signing of loan.
That’s according to journalist Bruno Lemos, who reports that Alcaraz will undergo a medical on Sunday before signing a contract with Everton.
According to his information, the midfielder will sign for Everton on loan until the end of the season but that will include an obligation to buy if he makes eight appearances for the Toffees.
This tallies with a report earlier today that stated a loan deal had been agreed with easy to achieve objectives to make it a permanent move in the summer.
Everton moved for the midfielder on Thursday evening, quickly wrapping up negotiations with the Brazilian side over a loan deal.
Flamengo then publically announced the deal, although that appears to have been premature as Everton still need to open up a loan space in their squad to sign Alcaraz. They are likely to do that by sending Orel Mangala, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury, back to parent club Lyon.
Either way, there is confidence in Brazil that the deal is done and Lemos now adds to that, reporting Alcaraz will travel to England today before undergoing a medical on Sunday
