Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have both been linked with a move to sign Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho.

The attacker, still only 20 years old, has produced some great moments in Manchester United’s colours, and he has shown that he can thrive in the Premier League.

Napoli wanted Garnacho to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, while Chelsea viewed him as a good option to strengthen their wide areas. Tottenham are in desperate need of a new attacker after the likes of Randal Kolo Muani, Mathys Tel and even Evan Ferguson rejected Ange Postecoglou’s side.

TBR Football revealed in January that Garnacho is frustrated with life under Amorim and was open to leaving United.

Now, the Independent, in their deadline day live blog (8:08 am), have revealed that: “Those close to Alejandro Garnacho maintain that the winger is preparing to leave Old Trafford but the signs are not favourable for this outcome.”

It has been claimed that Manchester United are demanding £70 million to let Garnacho go in this window, which is a lot of money.

Talks over a swap deal that would see Chelsea stars Josh Acheampong or Christopher Nkunku have been raised, but there has been no agreement yet.

What Ruben Amorim has said about Garnacho’s future?
There has been a lot of speculation around Garnacho’s future in recent weeks.

It really did look like Amorim would’ve been happy to let his 20-year-old attacker leave, but he has been given sufficient game time recently.

Garnacho’s performances have even impressed Amorim, who claimed publicly that he would like to ‘continue’ with the youngster at Manchester United.

“I think he’s not improving under me [because of me],” Amorim told ManUtd.com on Friday. He changed right away from that game [against] City [when he was not in the squad]. The way he understands things and understands that I just want to help him, I just want to win games.

“He changed in everything, the approach when I talk with him, the way he recovers. He understands sometimes that I’m a different coach, that I’m demanding in my way, sometimes it’s hard the first impact. It’s a different kind of coach and he understands that it’s never in a bad way, it’s always for him, but I’m a different person.

“I think all the merit is from Garnacho and he is improving, and we want to continue to improve with Garnacho. Today, he understood the position. The moments of playing inside, outside, the connection with Dalot, I think he’s improving a lot.”
