Wolves submit bid to complete ‘one of the biggest transfers in the history’ of European giants.
Wolves are likely to make at least one new signing on transfer deadline day.
Those at Molineux are still reeling after Tottenham hijacked the Kevin Danso deal – leaving Matt Hobbs searching for a new central defender to hand Vitor Pereira before the window shuts.
Wolves have already signed Emmanuel Agbadou from Stade de Reims to bolster that area of the squad, although another centre-back is wanted with Yerson Mosquera still absent.
Now – according to Mozzart Sport – Wolves have made a bid to sign Nasser Djiga from Red Star Belgrade.
Wolves submit Nasser Djiga bid
The Serbian news outlet now reveal that Wolves have made an offer to sign the Burkina Faso international after missing out on Danso.
Mozzart Sport claim that Wolves have bid €12m (£10m) plus bonuses for Djiga – and it would go down as a record sale for Red Star Belgrade if the move materialises.

The report even boldly states that ‘one of the biggest transfers in the history’ of Red Star Belgrade is ‘being prepared’ – which suggests the Serbian SuperLiga side, who impressively boast a record ten titles and one European Cup, are ready to negotiate with Wolves.
Mozzart Sport add that Djiga could sign a contract with Wolves by the end of the day – so it seems as if this deal is moving forwards.
Who else Wolves could sign on transfer deadline day
The 22-year-old is not the only player in sight at Molineux on deadline day, as Wolves aim to deliver more good news after convincing Matheus Cunha to sign a new contract.
TBR Football understand Wolves are holding talks with Dynamo Kyiv over a deal for Volodymyr Brazhko – who is viewed as a suitable replacement for the wantaway Mario Lemina.
Wolves are also looking at Johnny Cardoso of Real Betis – although that deal is difficult due to the fact Tottenham hold a £20m option to buy the United States international anytime between now and June.
Wolves could also raid Stade de Reims again – with Marshall Munetsi a potential arrival.
