Jets Trade Back In First Mock Draft Post Senior Bowl
The New York Jets, with the seventh-round pick in the 2025 Draft, could explore many different options. Needs at wide receiver, defensive tackle, and even quarterback dominate discussions of who should be the newest member of the Jets’ quick retool under Aaron Glenn. One name that will be prominent, though, is Penn State’s Abdul Carter. The top edge rusher in the 2025 class could finish first overall or seventh.
Will Carter make it to New York in our first mock draft of the offseason? Not quite. And there’s a big reason for it.
For this exercise, we will only be going over the team’s first three draft selections on Day 1 and Day 2. Larger mock drafts will come following the Combine. Without further ado, on with the show!
Jets trade seventh overall pick to Philadelphia Eagles for 31st overall pick, 2026 1st Round Pick, 63rd overall pick, 2026 3rd Round Pick 1st Round, 31st Overall – Mike Green, EDGE – Marshall Carter hasn’t exactly hidden the fact that he wants nothing more than for the Eagles to trade up and allow him to play for them. If he puts up a stink to some of the teams with top picks, it shouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility that Philly makes a move. The Jets could very well get a strong edge rusher like Senior Bowl standout Mike Green while adding a strong collection of draft picks both in 2025 and the following season. This one isn’t exactly one to deny immediately.
