Where Norwich City’s best paid player from 10 years ago is right now
It is fair to say that the 2014-15 season was one to remember for Norwich City supporters.
Despite being relegated from the Premier League during his caretaker spell the previous season, Norwich appointed Neil Adams as their new permanent manager in the summer of 2014, and it initially looked to be a smart decision with the club sitting top of the table in early October.
However, Adams was sacked in January after a decline in form over the winter months, departing with the Canaries in seventh place, and he was replaced by Hamilton Academical manager Alex Neil.
It was a big gamble by Norwich to appoint Neil, who was just 33 years old at the time, but he proved to be an inspired choice, and he almost led the club to automatic promotion, but they eventually finished the season in third place.
In hindsight, Canaries supporters may actually be glad they missed out on the top two as, after a memorable victory over bitter East Anglian rivals Ipswich Town in the semi-finals, they secured promotion with a 2-0 win over Middlesbrough in the play-off final.
Almost a decade on from Norwich’s Wembley success, we looked back at who the club’s highest paid player was in the 2014-15 season and what they are up to these days.
