Crystal Palace’s response to Barcelona & Man City interest in Daniel Munoz revealed…

Crystal Palace are not interested in selling Daniel Munoz amid growing interest from the likes of Barcelona, Man City and Chelsea.

That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the 28-year-old remains a crucial part of Oliver Glasner’s plans.

However, a “huge” fee could tempt the Eagles to let him go as it would represent a significant profit on the £7million spent to secure his signature just over a year ago.

Munoz signed a three-year contract in January 2024 to keep him at Selhurst Park until 2027, and Palace reserve the option to extend the deal by one year.

As a result, they are in the driving seat regarding his future and while they are determined not to see him leave, any departure will be on their terms.

Interest from the likes of Barcelona and Man City has emerged as a result of his ultra-consistent performances and the energy he provides on the right-hand side.

This comes after Football Insider revealed on 6 February that City are prepared to continue spending big in the summer after their £180million January spending spree.

Crystal Palace braced for ‘huge’ Daniel Munoz offers
Munoz scored the opening goal as Palace beat Doncaster 2-0 to progress into the fifth round of the FA Cup on 10 February – his third goal in 28 appearances this season.

Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted the interest in the Colombia international is not a surprise, but Palace are reluctant to lose a key player.

“I don’t see any reason Palace would let him go,” he told Football Insider.

“The only thing would be money, if they get a huge offer then they might take it because it would be a significant profit on what they paid for him.
