The players and the MLBPA argued for the return of the 2023 uniforms shortly after the reveal of the Nike Vapor Premier debut in 2024. The initial issue was being unable to see the names on the nameplate, but overall poor manufacturing created other issues that forced Nike’s hand to change course.
