Why free agent signing Jamie Paterson has provided Coventry City with a ‘massive lift’
Coventry City news from CoventryLive as Ellis Simms reveals what free transfer signing Jamie Paterson has already brought to the club
Ellis Simms has joined the growing list of Coventry City players who have expressed their excitement at the signing of free agent Jamie Paterson.
The Sky Blues striker says the 33-year-old winger/forward has been a huge boost to the squad with his presence on and off the training pitch, and feels he’s already struck up a nice playing connection with the former Swansea City man, who he hopes will help him score a few more goals.
“He’s been a massive lift,” said Simms, reacting to the news that Coventry Kid Paterson has joined the club on free transfer until the end of the season, and able to go straight into the squad for today’s match against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
“He’s such a nice guy, good for the changing room and really good out on the training field, so he’s bringing both sides, his ability and influence in the changing room as well, lifting everyone up. He’s a great person to be around and we look forward to seeing more of him.”
