Wrexham fans are in complete agreement about Ollie Rathbone after Northampton – huge claims made.
Wrexham knew a win over Northampton Town would have temporarily moved them to within a point of the automatic promotion places in League One.
The Red Dragons kicked off on February 15th with four wins from four in all competitions but well aware they faced a tough test on Saturday.
Phil Parkinson’s record against Northampton Town has been remarkable, with the manager never losing a game throughout his career before the weekend.
However, Wrexham have been prone to dropping points against sides they should be beating when they are not on home soil.
But even so, it seemed likely the Welsh outfit would come out on top in this clash, especially given the strong side Parkinson deployed from the off.

Sam Smith opened the scoring for Wrexham versus Northampton, latching onto a long ball from goalkeeper Mark Howard.
The away outfit doubled their lead there minutes later thanks to some hard work from goalscorer, Ollie Rathbone.
The midfielder had another excellent showing on Saturday and Wrexham fans have now taken to social media to praise him, evening claiming he’s their signing and player of the season.
One fan wrote: “Rathbone signing of the season for me so far! He just keeps going!”
A second added: “Rathbone reminds me of Mickey Thomas. Fast and sharp,” with a third echoing: “Ollie Rathbone is the Mickey Thomas regen.”
“Ollie Rathbone once again. Definitely could call him our player of the season at this rate.”
