Phoenix Suns Are Mishandling Bradley Beal Situation Ex-NBA Star Says…
The Phoenix Suns have had a terrible season thus far as their big three of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal have struggled. Behind their superstar trio, the Suns were expected to challenge near the top of the Western Conference standings. Instead, they currently find
themselves sitting 11th in the West and outside of the playoff picture. Durant and Booker have had great season for the Suns, but the third player in their star trio, Beal, has not had a great season. This led to the Suns moving him out of the starting lineup, which has helped as he has thrived in his new role, but it has not been good enough for the Suns to break out of their slump. Phoenix also
tried trading away Beal at the deadline as they were aggressively pursuing a trade for Jimmy Butler. Instead, they were unable to find a trade suitor for Beal due to his massive contract and no-trade clause, and they also missed out on the Butler sweepstakes. Beal will now remain in Phoenix for the rest of the season, but it is likely that the Suns will once again look to move him in the offseason. I don’t like him coming off the bench.” Garnett clearly believes that the Suns are mishandling Beal, and it all started when they moved him to the bench, and he does have a point. While Beal has thrived in his new role in the second unit, it has not helped the Suns become a better team as they are still on the outside looking in on the playoff
picture. Phoenix has also begun trying out new lineups with some of their players being hurt, including Beal, but they have not reinserted him into the starting lineup. Because of both this and them trying to trade him, it is clear that the Suns and Beal are eventually going to go their separate ways, and it might be as soon as the offseason.
