TyTy Washington Jr. has recently been seeing more minutes with the Suns. Why? Aside from injuries and Mike Budenholzer desperately searching for answers, he’s earned it. Washington has been tearing it up in the G League for the Valley Suns, averaging 20.5 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.8 rebounds.

Due to his efforts, he was selected to play in the G League Next Up Game.

The game will be similar to all other events this weekend, where it is no longer a game but a mini-tournament.

Phoenix Suns to Hire Mike Budenholzer as New Coach, per ReportThere are four teams, and instead of NBA legends coaching them, they’re GM’d by a bunch of people I’ve never heard of. Maybe I’m just out of the loop on whatever’s cool these days, but here we are, watching Team Braxton (run by Braxton Picou), Team Swish Cultures (helmed by Ashten Smith-Gooden and Jordan Richard), Team Strictly (guided by Nolan Newberg and Joe Doerrer), and Team Earn Your Leisure (led by Troy Millings and Rashad Bilal).

TyTy Washington? He’s rolling with Team EYL. They will be coached by former University of Arizona Wildcat Mark Tollefsen.
