League One boss shares Wrexham verdict after witnessing Phil Parkinson’s impressive substitution
Wrexham picked up another win on Saturday afternoon as Phil Parkinson watched his side beat Northampton Town 2-0 on the road.
Away form has been a problem for Wrexham this season but nobody can argue with recent results.
Wrexham have now won three away games in a row in all competitions, beating Crawley Town and Port Vale before Saturday’s win at Northampton Town.
Sam Smith opened his account for Wrexham with the opening goal before Ollie Rathbone quickly added number two.
Wrexham supporters would have been forgiven for having some fear after losing the unbeaten home record to Stevenage late in January.
Winning three away games in a row in all competitions has been quite the response though and Wrexham have cut the gap to Wycombe Wanderers to just two points.

Saturday’s result means that Wrexham have now done the double over Northampton his season.
Wrexham hammered the Cobblers 4-1 in October and picked up all three points with a comfortable display at Sixfields on Saturday.
Parkinson will love how Wrexham have handled the last couple of weeks, really bouncing back from that defeat to Stevenage.
Northampton boss Kevin Nolan has now offered his reaction to the game – and shared a verdict on the Wrexham squad.
Speaking to Northampton’s official YouTube channel, Nolan praised Wrexham as a ‘quality side’.
