Chris Sutton highlights the ‘danger’ David Moyes has at Everton as he makes bizarre claim..
David Moyes has only had positives to talk about so far at Everton which is rare for Toffees fans.
It’s looking like an exciting future for Everton with all factors considered.
They’ve brought back a sustainable manager who knows the club, and fans can look forward to the new stadium, as Everton’s new home has been dubbed ‘incredible’.
Adding onto this, there doesn’t look like any risk of relegation after Moyes has claimed 13 points from a possible 15 in the Premier League.
However, with all the positives, Chris Sutton has found something that Everton will have to keep in mind but said so in a strange way.

Chris Sutton highlights the ‘danger’ David Moyes has at Everton
After Everton’s 2-1 win at Crystal Palace, Moyes called Carlos Alcaraz ‘monstrous’ and you can so far add that to the list of the Friedkin Group’s successes.
Their one and only signing in Alcaraz has been a big tick having been at the club just 11 days.
Despite all the joy at Everton, Sutton has put a dampener on things, as he made the bizarre claim that the Toffees could overachieve under Moyes next season..
Speaking to Football Daily (43:07) Sutton spoke on how Everton could face a ‘danger’ under Moyes.
“Is there a danger now that the run they’ve been on under David Moyes of him really overachieving,?” Sutton said.
“If you look at how many players are out of a contract, and if he finishes the season so strongly, what will happen?
“There will be huge expectations at Everton.
“There would be expectation for Everton to push for a top-six place.”
Sutton’s statement goes completely against what Moyes said at Everton
The pundit does have a point in that momentum can do scary things to a football club.
Moyes said to praise Everton for once after all the years of dismay, and expectation seemingly hasn’t been a factor for a while.
However, this could change, but you can tell the Toffees boss wants to keep the club grounded.
The Friedkins have picked the perfect man because he’s Everton through and through, and Moyes won’t even admit that Everton are ‘safe’ yet.
Sutton may have just sent a slight warning to Evertonians, but Moyes knows what’s best for the club and it seems like whatever he does at the moment, works.
