Plymouth Argyle boss Miron Muslic has said Michael Obafemi has been given the ‘green light’ to be available this week.

Plymouth Argyle have been without the striker for their last two matches against Millwall and Blackburn Rovers. PAFC’s attacker has been out due to illness.

Obafemi, 24, has now recovered and can play again. The Pilgrims have games this week coming up against Luton Town away on Wednesday night and then Cardiff City at home on Saturday afternoon.

In this latest update, Muslic has said, as per a report by PlymouthLive: “He was on a very good way, that’s why we rewarded him with minutes against West Brom and with minutes against Liverpool.

“I think he did it very well but unfortunately he got sick so we missed him. He was part of the training group today and we have a green light for him so he will be part of the selection again.”

He has made 23 appearances in all competitions so far this season, 21 of which have come in the Championship, and he has scored three goals.

Burnley landed him back in 2022 on an initial temporary deal before his switch was made permanent shortly after.

Obafemi slipped down the pecking order with the Clarets and was loaned to Millwall in the last campaign before linking up with Plymouth Argyle.
