At least £20 million” – West Brom price tag claim made on Everton target Tom Fellows
Despite another season embroiled with issues, West Bromwich Albion continue to keep themselves in the hunt for a play-off spot.
Losing Carlos Corberan to Valencia seemed like it could be detrimental to their hopes, but despite Tony Mowbray’s initial struggles, the team still holds on to sixth place.
A solid winter transfer window should have only increased optimism, as they not only secured some valuable signings but also managed to hold onto their key players, with the exception of Alex Palmer.
However, the summer is likely to see some of their top talent enter the shop window and there will be one player on a number of Premier League shortlists.
When asked what player is West Brom’s most prized asset, Football League World’s Baggies pundit, Callum Burgess responded: “It is a fairly straightforward question, that will be Tom Fellows.
“In the summer, he is going to command a massive transfer fee – at least £20 million.
“The talk of Everton trying to sign him for £10 million on deadline day was laughable and, I would imagine, laughed out of the office at West Bromwich Albion.
“You would have to say he will most likely be leaving Albion in the summer for a Premier League team, whether it is Everton or elsewhere.
“Albion will definitely command a massive transfer fee for him, especially if he keeps up his rate of contributing towards goals.
“As an England Under-21 international as well, he is only going to keep getting better every year, and I think he will go on to play at a very high level.”
Reports earlier this month suggested that Everton are set to reignite their interest in Fellows in the summer.
