MLB Baltimore Orioles Opening Day Spring Training Game on Suncoast
SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Baltimore Orioles opened up the 2025 MLB Spring Training game schedule at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota in front of a sellout crowd of 7,628 fans. The Baltimore Orioles may have lost the game but their Manager is impressed with the effort the Orioles showed on opening spring training game day.
“Long spring training game, we had way too many three ball counts on the mound and didn’t pitch extremely well but I thought we played well defensively and some of the main guys only played a few innings in this first game. But good to see some of the other guys get out there,” said Brandon Hyde.
The Baltimore Orioles have fourteen more games scheduled during spring training this season at Ed Smith Stadium. Up next the Baltimore Orioles will play on the road on Sunday, February 23rd versus the Philadelphia Phillies at BayCare Ballpark.
