Alan Shearer thinks Everton player made a ‘big mistake’ in Man United draw..
Despite a solid performance from Everton on Saturday afternoon, David Moyes’ side could only walk away from Goodison Park with a point.
Man United gave the Toffees a tough last 20 minutes, despite Everton dominating the game for the majority.
Despite drawing, Paul Merson admitted he was wrong about Moyes, having previously said he was the wrong appointment.
Beto continued his fine form, scoring his fifth goal in four Premier League games and Abdoulaye Doucoure’s involvement paid off for Moyes.
However, Alan Shearer has criticised one Everton player who didn’t help matters.
It was still a positive display by the Toffees, who could’ve won if the controversial penalty decision on Ashley Young was awarded.
Landon Donovan was baffled at Everton’s penalty decision as the verdict from referee Andy Madley has brought up plenty of debate.
Shearer decided to focus away from the controversy and looked into Everton’s collapse, pointing the blame at Jordan Pickford.

Speaking to The Rest Is Football podcast with Gary Lineker (17:40) Shearer claimed Pickford should’ve done better for United’s first goal.
“Their first shot was a Bruno (Fernandes) free kick, which was a big mistake from Jordan Pickford,” Shearer said.
“A rare mistake, but that let Man United back in the game.”
Pickford’s performance against Man United was rare for Everton
It seemed like once in a blue moon for Pickford who has been ever so reliable for Everton.
Despite his negativity towards the Everton no.1, Shearer has been wowed by Pickford this season, which shows just how bad the mistake was.
Fernandes’ free kick was a solid effort but the England international found himself on the wrong side of the goal which summed up his performance on Saturday.
