Bolton Wanderers fans happy with point in ‘scrappy’ draw vs Wrexham, but Red Dragons’ major weakness was obvious
Bolton Wanderers took a point from Wrexham this weekend, and their fans have had their say on the Red Dragons credentials.
Wrexham were looking to put their EFL Trophy heartbreak behind them this weekend with a League One clash against Bolton proving the perfect distraction.
However, try as they might, Phil Parkinson’s men couldn’t put the ball in the net and the score ended 0-0 with both teams taking a point a piece from the game at the Racecourse Ground.
The point did push Wrexham closer to their promotion dreams, but the Red Dragons will always look at a home draw as a missed opportunity for more.
Wrexham are ‘better’ than Bolton, but wasted their chances
Bolton fans have had their say on the match, taking to social media to offer their appreciation for a hard-earned point away from home.
One fan said: “Under [Ian] Evatt we would have lost 3-0. Scrappy game but heading in the right direction.”
Another suggested Bolton had grabbed a “solid point at a tough place to go,” while one supporter added Steven Schumacher’s side were “extremely lucky to get a point.”
