The Timberwolves played perfect basketball in this sequence vs Suns
This sequence was wild.
The vibes were high for the Minnesota Timberwolves in their comeback victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night. It was a game that featured the much-anticipated return of Julius Randle, after he missed the previous 13 games for the Wolves.
Minnesota got down by as many as 12 points in The Valley, but rallied to secure a 116-98 victory. It marked the Timberwolves’ seventh straight win over the Suns, after losing the regular season finale to this team a year ago.
It was a night of all-around solid basketball from Chris Finch’s squad, with Anthony Edwards putting up 44 points and knocking down six three-pointers. Julius Randle poured in 20 in his return, and Donte DiVincenzo put up 24 off the bench in just his third game back from injury. In the fourth quarter, Minnesota put together an inspiring sequence of team basketball that epitomized their overall play in Phoenix.

Out of bounds save, dunk, steal sequence had Wolves’ bench fired up
With the Timberwolves up 91-78 in the final frame, Nickeil Alexander-Walker pulled up for an above-the-break three-pointer that clanged off the iron. Crashing in for the offensive rebound and showing a ton of hustle, Randle made an impressive save from out of bounds to get the ball directly in the hands of Naz Reid.
DiVincenzo reset the offense, getting it back to NAW, who found Randle under the rim for a powerful two-handed slam. From there, Jaden McDaniels’ quick thinking allowed him to steal the Suns’ inbound pass from Bradley Beal, before quickly taking it to the rack and scoring two more. The sequence was an incredible display of great team basketball, and the Timberwolves’ bench got more fired up with each passing moment.
