The Mets made their first round of roster cuts this afternoon, sending 13 players to minor league camp. The full list, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, is:

Mets' Brandon Nimmo dealing with new ailment amid foot issue

None of these names should come as any surprise, as all of them are young players who the Mets likely wouldn’t expect to start the year in the majors. Although names like Sproat, Williams, and Tidwell have been discussed as being part of the 2025 club, all of them would likely start the year in Triple-A Syracuse, both to get some additional reps in and also to manipulate playing time in a way to gain the team an extra year of control.

This also doesn’t mean that you’ll stop seeing these players in spring training games; the Mets will likely call any number of them over to big league camp when the need arises.
