Charles Barkley Predicts NBA Eastern Conference Champion Without Hesitation
Charles Barkley has never been one to shy away from making his opinions heard. And during Thursday night’s edition of “NBA on TNT,” the veteran basketball analyst revealed his prediction for this year’s Eastern Conference Finals. Barkley believes the current top-two seeds in the East – the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics – will face off in this year’s conference championship series. Barkley is confidently predicting the Cavaliers to take down the reigning-champion Celtics and punch their ticket to the NBA Finals. ”
The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to the Finals,” Barkley said. “… That’s going to be a great series when they play the Celtics, but right now I’m telling ya’ll – and I told ya’ll to book it last week – the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to the NBA Finals.” The Cavaliers currently hold the NBA’s best record at 52-10. Led by Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland and Evan Mobley, J.B. Bickerstaff’s Cleveland team is in excellent position heading into the final stretch of the 2024-25 season. The Celtics are the next best team in the Eastern Conference, holding a 44-18 record at this point in the season. Last year, Boston took down the Cavaliers with a 4-1 series record in the second round of the playoffs.
