Predicted Everton starting XI v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Everton will look to extend their seven-game unbeaten run when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in the Premier League on Saturday night.
The Toffees have seen rapid progress under David Moyes, and they will be looking to pick up all three points after earning a 1-1 draw away to Brentford in their previous game.
Moyes has warned his players that Everton are not completely safe yet, and they must continue to pick up points to climb up the table.
Wolves have shown signs of resurgence under their new manager, Vitor Pereira, and they will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after losing 2-1 against Fulham in their last Premier League game.
Ahead of the match, David Moyes has confirmed that while Seamus Coleman and Armando Broja are progressing well, the duo is still not in a position to be included in the matchday squad.
The likes of Iliman Ndiaye (knee), Orel Mangala (knee), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (hamstring) and Dwight McNeil (knee) are unavailable, but Abdoulaye Doucoure is back after missing out last game due to the birth of his son.
The return of Doucoure means he will be drafted straight into the starting XI in midfield alongside James Garner and Idrissa Gueye.
In defence, Moyes is unlikely to make any changes, which means Jake O’Brien, who scored against Brentford, will continue at right-back. Nathan Patterson has returned to full fitness, and Moyes wants him to step up.
Calvert-Lewin is nowhere near full fitness, which means Beto will continue to operate as a lone striker upfront. Carlos Alcarez and Jack Harrison will join him on the flanks.
Thus, Moyes is likely to make just one change for this game. Doucoure will return to the side in place of Jesper Lindstrom.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has not scored a goal or provided an assist, and Moyes said he is searching for improvements with his end product over the coming weeks.
Predicted Everton starting XI v Wolves: Pickford, Tarkowski, O’Brien, Branthwaite, Mykolenko, Gueye, Garner, Doucoure, Harrison, Alcaraz, Beto.
