Leeds early team news pre-Portsmouth, Aaronson call?
Leeds United’s starting lineup announcement versus Portsmouth is imminent and there could be changes made to the side that drew to West Brom last time out.
Despite moving eight clear of third place with a draw in the last outing, Leeds now find themselves level oin points with Sheffield United and only two in front of Burnley after previous results.
It means that a trip to Portsmouth really can’t afford to be anything other than a maximum return for Daniel Farke’s men to keep their distance to the chasing pack.
In terms of team news, Leeds are expected to name the same matchday squad that hosted the Baggies last time out at Elland Road, with no fresh injury concerns to worry about.
However, there was threefold positive news with regards to Patrick Bamford, Ethan Ampadu and Max Wöber.
Firstly, Bamford has been back in team training this week and is closing in on a return to action after a lengthy absence since New Year’s Day with hamstring trouble.
Meanwhile, Ampadu and Wöber’s respective knee injuries are recovering well and both are hopefully due back in the squad on the other side of the March international break.
