With three home games left on the Dodgers Cactus League schedule, and while we wait for Dave Roberts and the team to finish off a contract drive that is “on the 1-yard line,” here are some news and notes for the final Sunday morning of Arizona camp.

Tyler Glasnow struck out six in his three innings on Saturday, allowing only a run. But most importantly, he is feeling healthy after missing the final two months of 2024 with a right elbow sprain.

At the Dodgers fan fest on February 1 at Dodger Stadium, Glasnow talked about making a tweak to his delivery, and so far it sounds like that is paying dividends on the mound.

Roberts told Matt Sauer on the mound Friday night in Peoria that the non-roster right-hander will be on the Dodgers travel roster to Peoria which, among other things, comes with a $70,000 bonus. Sauer talked with reporters Saturday morning, and talked about his signing a minor league deal with the Dodgers, per Fabian Ardaya at The Athletic:

From Plunkett at the Orange County Register, Roberts said that Shohei Ohtani won’t play in Sunday’s game but will start at designated hitter on Monday and Tuesday, the Dodgers’ final two games on the Cactus League schedule, which will be the first time Ohtani has played on consecutive days this spring.

Chen at MLB.com detailed Bobby Miller’s facing live hitters on Friday, the first time for the right-hander since getting hit in the head by a line drive on February 20. From Chen: “Even though Miller wasn’t shut down from baseball activities for long, it will be ‘a longer road’ to build him back up as a starter, Roberts said.”
