After enjoying a five-game road trip, which ended with two-straight victories in the Big Apple, the Golden State Warriors are back in the Bay Area. Stephen Curry put on an absolute show while on the road and looks to bring that form back to the Chase Center for the Warriors fans.
The club posted a 4-1 record on that trip, with the lone loss coming to the Philadelphia 76ers in a game that Jimmy Butler missed with an injury. Having posted a 10-1 record with Butler in the lineup, the Warriors look to continue their run of good form and Western Conference ascension with a contest against the Detroit Pistons. Like Golden State, the Pistons have a 35-28 record and are in the thick of the playoff race, though in the Eastern Conference. While Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski suffered an early back injury in the squad’s last contest, he was listed as questionable with the back injury before the Pistons matchup.
Steve Kerr makes Podziemski announcement before Warriors-Pistons When Podziemski was injured against the Nets, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr dubbed the issue “day-to-day,” which led to him being a game-time decision.
He’s going to warm up and then we’ll see,” Kerr said before the Pistons matchup.
It was expected that Jonathan Kuminga would have made his return from the ankle injury he suffered over two months ago during their current homestand. While Kuminga was ruled out against the Pistons, the club is awaiting his return, though they are going to be sure he is 100% healthy and ready to go.
