Sheffield United are accelerating efforts to sign former Norwich City man Gabriel Sara from Galatasaray before the summer.
That’s according to Fanatik, who report that the Sara’s suitors are increasing and Sheffield United are one of them.
They state that Sara is at the top of many teams’ transfer lists, with the latest suitor coming from the Championship and being Sheffield United.
According to Fanatik’s information they have accelerated their efforts to sign the 25-year-old midfielder, having already been keen on him when he was at Norwich City.
They never made an offer for him at that time because their finances didn’t allow it, with Sara eventually heading to Turkey in an €18m deal.
Now it seems the situation has changed, and they are making efforts to bring him back to England, potentially as one of their first signings should they return to the Premier League.
Sara, for his part, has expressed at every opportunity that he is happy where he is, but Galatasaray’s management are ‘curious’ about any potential bid.There’s no mention of an asking price at this stage although it would be safe to assume that they’d want to make a profit on the player if he was to leave after just a year.
