Wrexham’s next Max Cleworth just scored a brace in 3-2 win over Harrogate Town, he’s becoming a real talent

George Dobson had a bright patch shortly after his arrival as well and countless more players have shone across te 2024/25 season for Wrexham.

However, while many have seen their form drop and improve in patches, there has not been a player as consistent as Max Cleworth this season.

Cleworth has netted seven in the league already this term despite being a centre-back and it looks as though Wrexham have already found their next goal-scoring defender.

Now, young defender Tom Kelly could be set to follow in the footsteps of the 22-year-old as he continues to shine at U18 level.

Kelly shone for Wrexham in the FA Youth Cup in October and was back in action this week.

Kelly started the tie at centre-back but was able to score the club’s second and third goal, the latter of which proved to be the winner.
