The Tigers enter the new campaign with a lot of optimism following an exciting 2024 season, which saw the team come within a win of the American League Championship Series. Now, they return with most of the same team, led by AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal. They also have big-time players like Riley Greene, Kerry Carpenter, and Spencer Torkelson. They also bolstered their lineup by signing former New York Yankees infielder Gleyber Torres.
Though the AL Central is going to be interesting, Detroit can have another solid run into the fall.
The Dodgers have already played some regular-season games. Led by Japanese stars Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, L.A. swept the Chicago Cubs in the Tokyo Series last week, kicking off their World Series title defense in style.
