Phil Parkinson could shock us all with Paul Mullin decision for Wrexham clash with Exeter City
Wrexham are set to take on Exeter City in a League One meeting on Saturday afternoon, aiming to keep their spot in the top two.
Wrexham secured two huge wins in the last two weeks, seeing off Wycombe Wanderers and Stockport County by the same 1-0 scoreline.
Said victories over fellow top-six teams has ensured the Red Dragons have moved back into the automatic promotion places ahead of their final eight league games of 2024/25.
Wrexham and Wycombe are now set to battle it out to decide who will join Birmingham City in going up automatically.
This weekend, the Chairboys will go head-to-head with Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon.
At the same time, Wrexham clash with Exeter City, who have are now unbeaten in their last six and Phil Parkinson could make a surprising Paul Mullin call.
Wrexham go into the meeting with Exeter still looking to add more goals to their frontline.
Jay Rodriguez scored his first goal last weekend, but even so, it remains clear Parkinson’s men are still not the most prolific side.
Given they are now facing one of the top-three most in-form teams in League One, more firepower off the bench will likely be needed.
Currently, it is Steven Fletcher and Jack Marriott who have been acting as the back-up options in every game.
Mullin has not featured in nine league outings, last lining out all the way back on January 28.
