Coventry City leading chase for Crystal Palace starlet
Coventry City are at the front of the queue of clubs eyeing Crystal Palace youngster Caleb Kporha, according to Alan Nixon.
Coventry City are looking to maintain their push for the Championship play-offs over the final seven games of the season.
The Sky Blues have surged up the table under Frank Lampard over the second half of the campaign. They were beaten by Sheffield United on Friday, but their sights remain firmly on finishing in the top six.
Nonetheless, the relevant figures behind the scenes will have eyes on potential summer transfer window targets too, and a new name has emerged on the Championship club’s radar this weekend.
Writing on his Patreon, reporter Alan Nixon states that Coventry City are among the clubs eyeing a deal for Crystal Palace defender Caleb Kporha.
The 18-year-old is a highly-rated England youth international and has impressed in the Eagles’ academy, warranting four first-team appearances for the Premier League side. However, with no long-term deal in place, clubs are starting to take note of his situation and could offer him a route out of Selhurst Park.
As such, Coventry City could look to offer him a quick route to first-team football and they are heading the queue of those eyeing a deal.
More on Kporha
