Tottenham star’s injury ‘worsse than’ first thought; major doubt for Chelsea
Club insider drops a worrying injury update on Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski ahead of the Chelsea game
The injury issues at Tottenham Hotspur are slowly starting to ease off of late. Ange Postecoglou welcomed several players back from injury before the ongoing international break. But as has been the case with Spurs this season, when they have recovered players from injury, they’ve lost a couple from the other end.
Dejan Kulusevski, arguably the most consistent player for Ange Postecoglou’s side, picked up a foot injury earlier this month and has subsequently missed the last five games.
Before the Europa League second leg of the last-16 tie against AZ Alkmaar, Ange Postecoglou said the 24-year-old will be back after the international break. The Sweden international remains in a race against time to be fit for next week’s London derby against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge—Tottenham’s first game after the international break.
Dr Rajpal Brar said earlier this week that Dejan Kulusevski is unlikely to feature against Chelsea as he’s not yet returned to full training. Now, club insider Paul O Keefe has given a bit concerning injury update on the Scandinavian attacker, implying the injury is worse than first thought by the medics.
When asked by a fan if Kulusevski would be fit for the Europa League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt on April 11, Paul O Keefe responded via X:
Kulusevski had to miss the Sweden games during the recent international break due to a foot injury. The Tottenham talisman is still yet to return to training, meaning that Ange Postecoglou and Co. are now sweating on his return in time for the Chelsea game.
