£3.4m man among players who need to leave Stoke City in the summer window
Stoke City are set for another busy summer transfer window, regardless of how the 2024/25 campaign climaxes.
Stoke City are currently fighting for survival in the Championship. SCFC picked up a big win against QPR last weekend to move four points clear and up to 18th, but the job is far from done.
Nonetheless, eyes have to be on the long-term too. The Potters have been on a slide ever since dropping from the Premier League and if similar fortunes lay ahead, fan unrest is only going to grow stronger.
With Mark Robins at the helm and a new head of recruitment in Ian Torrance, this summer is a vital one. Strong additions are needed but the club also need to shift the deadwood from the ranks.
With that said, we put forward three players who need to leave Stoke City in the summer…
Chances have come and gone for Mmaee at Stoke City but between injuries, a lack of form and competition for starting spots, he hasn’t been able to find a regular starting berth.
The 27-year-old will enter the last 12 months of his contract this summer and having struck a deal of £3.4m including add-ons for him, it could be time for the Potters to cut their losses.
Mmaee could benefit from a move back to the continent on a permanent basis.
