Shock update emerges as £15m player now ‘unlikely’ to leave Wolves despite never playing for Vitor Pereira
Wolves have a big summer transfer window ahead of them, and there are signs that the club may have turned a corner since Vitor Pereira arrived.
Vitor Pereira was happy with how the January transfer window played out as Wolves were the second highest spenders, with only Manchester City splashing more cash.
The club also wants to keep some of their best players, handing new five-year contracts to Joao Gomes and promising defender Yerson Mosquera this week.
Of course, Matheus Cunha has hinted at leaving Wolves and with big teams interested in the Brazilian, the Old Gold can’t stand in his way.
But whilst Cunha is on his way out of Molineux, one player could stay at the club despite never playing a single minute for Pereira.
Why Sasa Kalajdzic is ‘unlikely’ to leave Wolves
Wolves made the £15 million signing of Sasa Kalajdzic in the summer of 2022, and since then, his career in Wolverhampton has unravelled into a nightmare.
Kalajdzic is currently recovering from an ACL injury, the third of his career, which he suffered while on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt last season.
The 27-year-old has only made 14 appearances for the Old Gold in nearly three years, with the Austrian experiencing an incredibly testing time.
