Red Sox Vs. Orioles Lineups: Triston Casas, Wilyer Abreu Return
Garrett Crochet starts for the first time since signing his extension
The Red Sox return to Oriole Park at Camden Yards for the first time since locking up two core players.
Boston signed Garrett Crochet and Kristian Campbell to multi-year extensions this week. The deals highlighted a commitment to a young core, and Crochet will look to show why he was worthy of an extension when he toes the rubber Wednesday.
Triston Casas and Wilyer Abreu will return to the lineup to help provide the southpaw run support. The pair of sluggers sat out Monday’s loss to the Baltimore Orioles to give other players more reps, according to manager Alex Cora.
The Red Sox enter Wednesday on a four-game losing streak but will look to even up the three-game series against their American League East rival with a win.
First pitch for the Boston-Baltimore matchup is scheduled at 6:35 p.m. ET, and you can catch full coverage on NESN after an hour of pregame.
