12 points from safety with just eight games to go, both Paul Merson and Chris Sutton have now previewed the visit of Eddie Howe’s side and are both in agreement on the outcome.
Paul Merson and Chris Sutton predict Leicester to lose again without scoring
If Leicester lose against Newcastle without scoring a goal, they will become the first side in Football League history to lose eight games in a row without finding the back of the net.
Yet both Merson and Sutton see no other outcome.
Writing on Sportskeeda, Merson said: “Leicester are one of the worst teams in the division.”
The Arsenal legend added: “I can’t see anything but a Newcastle win,” ultimately opting for the Magpies to run out comfortable 2-0 winners.
Sutton was even more critical of Leicester, saying to BBC Sport: “[Ruud van Nistelrooy’s] side have lost their past seven league games and have not scored in any of them, and it is even longer since they managed a point or a league goal at home.”
The former Premier League winner added: “That is not going to change here,” giving a prediction of Leicester 0-3 Newcastle.
Leicester City’s dismal run of form at the King Power Stadium
Leicester have a patchy record against Newcastle at the King Power Stadium, winning two and losing three of their last five.
