The Portugal international’s contract at Molineux expires in 2026 but wants to leave the Premier League club in the summer window. Estadio Deportivo reported this at the start of this month and also stated Atlético Madrid, Villarreal and Sevilla are looking at him.

Earlier today, the Wolves owned player was directly asked about the Atlético links and he said: “It’s not the most important thing right now, just how I can help in the games and the work I can give to the team.

“Outside of football, I’ve already had that experience; I don’t try to focus too much on the future and enjoy the present.

“I know that if I continue doing things well like I have been, good things will come, but I want to finish the season well and leave Las Palmas in the first division to bring joy to the fans.”

“Atlético Madrid is one of the best teams in the world, but right now I’m only focused on the goal of saving Las Palmas, and the future will be revealed.”
