Jean-Clair Todibo shares how he really feels about Graham Potter amid links with a summer exit from West Ham
Since Graham Potter arrived at West Ham United, Jean-Clair Todibo has undoubtedly improved.
That said, it’s still a huge concern that Todibo is seemingly incapable of playing a full 90 minutes for West Ham.
Potter has repeatedly insisted that he rates Todibo very highly indeed.
The West Ham head coach raved about the Frenchman during his press conference on Thursday.
“I think it was a bit tough for him at the start,” Potter said when asked about Todibo’s ongoing issues with fitness and finishing matches.
“Because he arrived late to pre-season and then had injury problems. There was quite a lot of change last summer, but overall it’s not been that easy for those players who have come in.
“But, I’ve really enjoyed working with JC. He’ll get better as he gets fitter and fitter, because he’s got some really high-level quality.”
Judging by those comments, Potter very much wants Todibo to stay, but does the 25-year-old feel the same way?
How Jean-Clair Todibo feels about Graham Potter amid links with West Ham exit
Todibo clearly has immense talent.
However, there are obvious concerns surrounding his fitness.
West Ham could easily ‘flip’ him in the summer by signing him on a permanent deal from Nice before moving him on immediately for a quick profit.
What does Todibo think about his future though?
The French centre-back insisted that time is needed and everyone has to stick by Potter, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
