David Moyes hints he’s about to start ‘incredible’ Everton player for the first time vs Chelsea
Everton return to Premier League action on Saturday with an away trip to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
After tasting defeat last time out against Manchester City, David Moyes will be keen to get three points back on the board.
Moyes refuses to celebrate Everton’s Premier League survival as he is aspiring for much bigger things on Merseyside.
But what the 62-year-old has been able to do with this Everton side has been seriously impressive.
It is worth noting Moyes has also had to deal with a number of significant injuries since landing back at Goodison Park in January.
Iliman Ndiaye has now returned from injury and has slotted straight back into the starting XI.
Moyes has now suggested another could be set to make a return to the starting XI.
Everton could start Dwight McNeil against Chelsea
Dwight McNeil has also returned from injury after being sidelined since December due to a knee issue that required surgery.
“We’ve ran most of the top clubs really close in the games. We’ve maybe not won them, but we’ve not been out of them and we’ve always given ourselves a chance in them.”
McNeil made an instant impact against Nottingham Forest the other week with a last-gasp assist to win the game.
Perhaps the game at Stamford Bridge could be the opportunity for the Englishman to finally return to the starting XI for the first time since December.
