“It was an improvement on the Southampton performance – although it couldn’t get much much worse than that!” stated Walker. “We created some chances and at times we looked decent going forward

“But again, our defending was atrocious and the in game management to secure that victory was non existent. Gutless from us again.”

Ex also shared his co-hosts view that it was frustrating more so as West Ham played well in large parts, but the weak mentality which runs through the side was evident once again.

“Another strange game where in parts we played well but once more if ultimately ended in defeat,” said the club insider. “A lack of leadership is clear throughout the team, desire and a winning mentality.

“The players look exhausted when we have played less games this year than others and there doesn’t seem to be any kind of dedication to the club. Just more evidence of what we knew before that we need a massive rebuild in the summer.
