Liverpool set sights on swoop for in-form Sunderland striker.
Sunderland starlet Trey Ogunsuyi is attracting interest from Liverpool amid his impressive academy form, as per the Sunderland Echo.
Sunderland seem to have solved their striker with the signings of Wilson Isidor and Aaron Connolly, along with Eliezer Mayenda’s emergence this season.
The trio have eight goals between them, with Connolly scoring his first against Millwall at the weekend.

However, another striker on the fringes of the first-team is Trey Ogunsuyi. The Belgian youth international was in the squad at The Den and has scored nine goals and provided two assists in seven games for the club’s U18s and U21s this term.
Now, it is claimed the Sunderland prodigy is attracting interest from elsewhere. According to the Sunderland Echo, Liverpool are keen on Ogunsuyi and could move in January.
He had plenty of interest from the Premier League in the summer but opted to stay on Wearside. He signed his first professional deal with the club, turning down the chance to leave Sunderland while still a scholar.
The Black Cats now hold the cards with Ogunsuyi, however he is only tied down until the summer of 2026.Sunderland have one of the youngest squads in the country and are a very appealing club for any youngster.

‘Really good opportunity’ – Norwich City vs Plymouth Argyle prediction: The72.
The72’s writers offer their Norwich City vs Plymouth Argyle prediction ahead of the Championship clash on Tuesday.
Plymouth Argyle head to Norwich City in midweek hoping to make it four games unbeaten in the Championship.
Plymouth Argyle have struggled away from home this season and are yet to pick up a win on the road this campaign. They have picked up just two points, away at Derby County and QPR.
The Pilgrims are currently 19th in the table after an inconsistent start under Wayne Rooney but are coming to Norwich City off the back of a 96th-minute equaliser to secure themselves a point against Watford on Friday night.

Their opponents Norwich City have had a subpar start to the season as they find themselves in 13th place after 16 games.
They drew 2-2 away at West Brom at the weekend and will be hoping to use that result to help turn their home form around. The Canaries have won just two games at home so far this season.
The draw at West Brom ended a run of three straight defeats. However, they still remain winless in seven games.
Here, a handful of our writers make their predictions for the game…
Charlie Hodgson.
“I think both these sides would prefer this game to be the other way around. Plymouth Argyle are outstanding at home right now while Norwich have a much better away record than home.

“If there has ever been a game for Plymouth to win away from home, surely it is this one. Considering the form of both sides, The Pilgrims will back themselves.
“I’m going to back Rooney’s side, I think they impressed in spells against Watford and have the quality to punish an out-of-touch Norwich side.”
“Norwich City will be frustrated by this continued winless run but a draw against West Brom is a result they should be pleased with. They were two sides in similar positions with underwhelming form and injury-hit squads but it marked a good draw nonetheless.

“Focusing on this game though, this is a really good opportunity for the Canaries to get back on track.
“Plymouth Argyle are a tough opponent but they’ve got a really bad record away from home. They have found a couple of solid draws but we’ve seen them rolled over on the road and Norwich still have players capable of punishing them.
“This could definitely end in a home win but I’ll actually back the visitors to get a point.”
