The72’s writers offer their Leeds United vs Luton Town prediction ahead of the Championship clash on Wednesday.
Leeds United are back in Championship action on Wednesday night with a home clash against Luton Town.
Leeds United are top of the table above Sheffield United and Sunderland on goal difference. They won 4-3 away at Swansea City last time out after Willy Gnonto’s late winne The Whites are aiming for promotion to the Premier League this season. They were beaten in the play-off final in the last campaign by Southampton at Wembley.
Daniel Farke’s side lost key players Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter over the summer. The likes of Ao Tanaka, Largie Ramazani and Manor Solomon were brought in to replace them in the last transfer window.

Here, a handful of our writers make their predictions.
Harry Mail
“Leeds United will be in confident mood and are carrying momentum as they eye promotion.
“The Whites have quality all over the pitch and they have been able to grind out results this season.

“Luton Town head to Elland Road on the back of a win but they could struggle to get a result here against their in-form opponents.
“Edwards’ side have been poor on the whole in this campaign to date and seem to be lacking quality. They lost 5-1 away at Middlesbrough in their last match on their travels and I can see them slumping to another loss.”
“Before the season started, many might have viewed this as a game between two automatic promotion hopefuls. However, while Leeds United are delivering on those predictions, Luton Town are way off the pace
“That said, the Hatters fought their way to a valuable win at the weekend, albeit against a struggling Hull City. They need to built on that by getting back the confidence and attitude they had in their remarkable ascension to regular promotion triumph.
“However, Leeds United are looking good. They have some areas of weakness that can be exposed but at Elland Road, it’s hard to see Luton getting anything.
“I’ll go for a home win but the visitors shouldn’t get too down about the result. They need to keep spirits up if they’re to salvage anything from this season.
