Southampton Will Recall One Player But Send Another To Sheffield Wednesday.
Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl spent time at St Mary’s and there are those Saints fans who would not be unhappy to see him back, but in the meantime it looks like it could be a recall for one Saints player but another going in the other direction in January.
Shea Charles has been a big success at Hillsborough this season and there are many Southampton supporters who think he didn’t get a fair crack of the whip last season and he could do a better job than some this term.
Now sheffieldwednesday.news are reporting that the Northern Ireland International who recently Captained his country could be recalled by Saints in January.
But they are also claiming that Southampton are looking to send players out on loan in January and one of them could be heading in the direction of South Yorkshire.
That player is Ronnie Edwards who arrived on the South Coast in the summer from Peterborough with a big reputation,
Despite being only 21 he had played 121 League games for the Posh in both the Championship & League One, but so far his only appearance so far has been in the Carabao Cup at Cardiff City, where to be honest he did not shine.
But Russell Martin still has faith in him and feels that the next step in his development would be a loan to a Championship club and Sheffield Wednesday seem to be keen.
So it could be one going back and one in for the Owls from St Mary’s this coming January.
