Luton Town – And Norwich City Make It Ten.

Would anyone have dared to suggest, back in August when the season started, that before December had even started, we’d have lost TEN league games?

We’ve only played EIGHTEEN!

I’m guessing not!

But, with back in August promotion being very much the aim, that is the case.

In the small matter of THREE months we’ve gone from a team that the pundits tipped to be involved in the race for automatic promotion to a team that, on current form, could well be looking at back-to-back relegation.

At Carrow Road, on Saturday, we witnessed another lacklustre display from the town and a display littered with errors and to be brutally honest, a team that, in its current format, does not offer much inspiration that things can be turned around.

Okay, we may have taken the lead, courtesy of Elijah Adebayo, but that only lasted a matter of minutes and it wasn’t long before, as seems to be the norm these days, we were 2-1 down, with the half time whistle bring some brief respite.

Three minutes into the second period, the 2500 travelling supporters were given hope that a result could be snatched from the jaws of defeat when Jacob Brown made it 2-2.

But, honestly, could you see us hanging on for a draw or much more unlikely a win?

I couldn’t and sadly I was proven correct when our hosts rattled in another couple of goals to snatch the three points on offer.

With Luton Town just three points above the drop zone, the month of December remains, to me, the most crucial month of the season so far.

Changes need to be made otherwise our proud club will be playing League One football next season, mark my words.
