The Foxes churned out their worst performance of the Van Nistelrooy era as a Jacob Murphy brace was followed up by goals from Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes.
There was some controversy as Leicester fans felt Guimaraes should’ve been sent off in the first half, while Leicester confirmed Mads Hermansen had injured his groin in the first half.
Two stars who were watching on from afar were Premier League legends Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker and both had plenty to say about their two teams.

As per usual, Lineker was hosting Match of the Day where he and the two pundits, Theo Walcott and Ashley Williams dissected what happened at St James’ Park.
Shearer wasn’t part of the team but Lineker admitted he was relieved not to have the Newcastle legend in the studio after he’d been “gloating all afternoon”.
“All I can say is thank heaven Alan Shearer is not here,” the Leicester legend joked.
“He’s not been happy with his team lately but he was today.
